Facelifted Hyundai Creta now available with striking matte finish

Hyundai’s Creta has been subjected to a slight facelift along with the introduction of striking Matte Edition models. Updates include enhanced safety features and a price reduction on certain models.
Eye-catching exterior design \n \n

The eye-catching exterior design comprises an attractive front grille with geometric pattern and modern lighting design, which remains unchanged. The LED daytime running lights continue to be incorporated into the parametric jewel pattern giving the Creta a similarity that runs through Hyundai’s SUV line up.
Hyundai will now be offering the Creta with the optional matte exterior paint finish with three options to choose from including Midnight Matte Black, Magnetic Silver Matte and Optic While Matte, which is available on both Premium and Executive models.
Apart from the striking matte finish Matte Edition models also feature a number of unique touches. This includes subtle changes to the lower part of the nose and rear design. The A and C pillars, door handles and mirrors are finished in high gloss black while the front and rear skid plates are matte black in colour. Matte Edition models are fitted with unique glossy black 17-inch rims.
The updated Creta range is available in a total of nine colours including Magnetic Silver, Optic White, Titan Grey Metallic, Midnight Black Pearl, Dragon Red Pearl and Galaxy Blue Pearl as well as the three Matte Edition options in black, silver and white.
Improved interior\n\n

The interior remains largely unchanged and continues to feature a clean, minimalistic fascia and trim. In the rear a centre armrest with cupholders which folds out of the backrest has been added. The height of the driver’s seat can now be adjusted, which in conjunction with the telescopic and height adjustment of the steering allows drivers of all sizes to be able to find a comfortable driving position.\n\n

Premium derivatives feature artificial leather covering for the seats, gear lever and steering wheel as well as one touch up or down control of the driver’s window.\n\n

All Matte Edition variants boast a start button that works in conjunction with smart key entry. Standard convenience features across the entire range include a multifunction steering wheel with buttons which allow the driver to control functions including the infotainment system, trip computer and cruise control. Executive models add a wireless charging pad as well as remote control buttons for the operation of the lane departure warning and lane follow assist systems to the offering.\n\n

An eight-inch infotainment system takes pride of place on the dashboard and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality in addition to a Bluetooth system with voice control.
Parking is simplified thanks to the fitment of rear park assist sensors and a camera which is displayed onto the infotainment system. An electronic parking brake works in conjunction with a hill-start assist control function to aid incline starts.\n\n

One engine for the Creta range
All Creta models are powered by the same four-cylinder, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which is rated at 84kW at 6 300rpm and 144Nm at 4 500rpm. This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an Intelligent Variable Transmission, which is the only option available on Executive models.\n\n

Jam packed with safety equipment
All Creta models are fitted with front airbags for the driver and front passenger. Executive models add to this with the addition of side and two curtain airbags that offer protection for rear seat passengers too.\n\n

Electronic Stability Control offers added safety while a tyre pressure monitoring system is in place to alert drivers if a tyre is losing pressure.\n\n

Executive models are fitted with the Smart Sense Safety package which adds a variety of driver assistance systems to the mix. This includes Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, a Lane Departure Warning System, Lane Follow Assist, Driver Fatigue Detection with a warning function, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.\n\n

Model range and pricing
All Creta derivatives are sold with a seven-year/200 000km manufacturer’s warranty, a four-year/60 000km service plan and roadside assistance for seven years of 150 000km.
